While Christmas gives us all a warm glow, there’s no denying the bitter winter weather. Book tickets to a seasonal show at one of Leeds’ many theatres and escape to a land of enchantment.

 

Everyone’s favourite motor car will be parking at West Yorkshire Playhouse! Catch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from 2nd December to 30th January. Or wonder at the beauty of Northern Ballet’s The Nutcracker at Leeds Grand Theatre this festive season.

 

Laugh out loud with Michael McIntyre or gasp in amazement with Dynamo at first direct arena. Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without ‘The Snowman’; treat the whole family to tickets to see the Orchestra of Opera North’s performance at Leeds Town Hall, Paddington Bear will be there too!

Leeds Lights Switch On

THE event to power-up the festive season is the Leeds Christmas Light Switch-On! Head over to Victoria Gardens on Thursday 13th November  for an evening of sparkling lights, entertainment and a spectacular firework display. 

The Leeds Lights Switch-On show, hosted by Dixie and Emma from Heart Breakfast, will feature CBeebies presenters Alex Winters and Cat Sandiona leading a festive sing-a-long, Lee Brennan from boyband 911 and live performances from Leeds Rock Choir and the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! It's an event not to be missed.

Reindeer Trail

Also returning on the 13th November is the Magical Leeds Reindeer Trail. You can discover Santa’s helpers throughout the city centre; there are 8 glittering stags and some real reindeer to discover! So download a copy of the map here and track them all down.
