Visit Essex Big Weekend - On-line Ballot to win FREE entry tickets to attractions until 12th March!

Essex Big Weekend

So sorry folks, just found out the link wasn't working on the last e-newsletter.  This one is fine!

It's that time of year again when the Essex Big Weekend has flung open its doors to Essex residents, with the chance of winning 1000s of FREE entry tickets to 57 visitor attractions throughout the county. The 2nd Essex Big Weekend has already had over 90,000 bids made on the website, and we want to smash last year's total of nearly 7,000 residents winning tickets!

This year there are nearly 5,500 tickets to be won in the on-line ballot, to places such as RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Chelmsford City Racecourse, East Anglian Railway Museum, Maldon beach huts, Lifehouse Spa Hotel, Marks Hall Gardens & Arboretum, 360 Play, High Ropes, Lee Valley Park Farm, Barleylands, Adventure Island and Colchester Castle, to name a few!

The Weekend takes place over 24th and 25th March, and winners will also have the opportunity to win a wonderful Hamper of goodies from Wilkins & Sons of Tiptree, by posting images and 'selfies' throughout the weekend, of fun times at the attractions. The Visit Essex Team will then decide on a winner!

Use the hastags when posting about the Big Weekend on social media: #EBWselfie #essexbigweekend and #EBW2018

There will also be competitions on our facebook page (@visitessex) during the week before and over the actual weekend, so watch out for those too! All in all, its a fantastic event not to be missed - so what are you waiting for?! Log on to and get bidding!!
