You will be based within a City Centre Public Services Control Room. You will form part of multi-skilled team whose duties include CCTV monitoring, alarm monitoring & key-holder response, Call centre operations, Emergency 1st responder and an Emergency planning function.

Your working hours are 37 a week, mainly in 12 hour rotating shift patterns covering Monday to Sunday, nights, weekends and public holidays.

We ask that you have relevant security and team working experience a good awareness/knowledge of the operations of a public service control room; CCTV, relevant legal and statutory requirements, partnership working, a good level of communication skills in telephone and radio operation.

You need to be able to have the skills for CCTV operation and observation techniques, excellent communication skills and ability in customer handling techniques, IT skills and ability to priorities.

For applicants interviewed there will be an observation test.

The role is implicit in the development and delivery of imaginative and creative solutions which underpin the requirements of the Care Act 2014 and, essentially support Hulls strategic vision of a life not a service.

We are looking to offer exciting opportunities for people who can demonstrate their ability to focus on peoples strengths and choices to live their lives to the full by working in partnership with people their families and their communities.

The successful candidate will have the following training, experience and knowledge:

BSC in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.

Substantial post-qualification experience of working with adults in a statutory health or social care setting.

Be registered with the HCPC and able to evidence this.

Experience of safeguarding legislation including the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty safeguards.

Evidence of continuing professional development.

Experience of coaching, mentoring and supervising other staff.

To undertake specialist OT assessments to determine eligibility, mental capacity, physical capabilities and ongoing needs including for example Independent Mobility Assessments (Blue Badge) and re-housing.

The role requires you to contribute to specialist or comprehensive assessments for disabled people and their carers to recommend a range of help available.
