We are looking for donations of school supplies (backpacks or totes, paper, notebooks, folders, pencils, erasers, pens, crayons, markers, rulers, tape or other items kids can use for school). PLEASE BRING ANY SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO CHURCH ON AUGUST 2 or they can be dropped off at the church office until August 13. We also need volunteers to attend the event to meet with the community, share the gospel with parents & kids, hand out supplies, serve sno-cones and/or popcorn and put into action "loving our neighbors." A sign up sheet will be available at the Ministry Connection on Sunday to sign up to serve.

RGBC YOUTH
Youth will meet this Sunday, August 2, for the summer Sunday evening youth group session at 6pm at KCA! They will be looking at a video series by Pastor David Platt entitled "Counter Culture." Rising 6th graders and recent 2015 grads are invited to this summer series.

SUMMER STUDIES
There are two studies going on during our EQUIP hour (9-10am):

EQUIP Study: "The Peacemaker" by Ken Sande. This class will meet in the sanctuary and will be led by the elders. Books are in so if you ordered a book, please be sure to bring your $11 to class on Sunday. There will be a few extra books for those who did not order one.

NEW RGBC OFFICE

RGBC PRAYER WARRIOR TEAM
Do you consider yourself a prayer warrior? Do you enjoy praying for others' needs? We will be launching a new team of individuals who will be praying for the needs of our congregation. If you would like to be part of this team and truly commit to pray for the needs that are sent, please contact the Church office. All prayer requests will be emailed to each Prayer Warrior Team Member, so please include the email that you would want those requests sent to. The Prayer Team will each pray individually so there aren't any meetings to attend! Prayerfully consider joining this team to support our congregation through prayer.

Chuck Swindoll wrote, “I know of no other single practice in the Christian life more rewarding, practically speaking, than memorizing Scripture. . . . No other single exercise pays greater spiritual dividends! Your prayer life will be strengthened. Your witnessing will be sharper and much more effective. Your attitudes and outlook will begin to change. Your mind will become alert and observant. Your confidence and assurance will be enhanced. Your faith will be solidified.” (Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life [Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1994], p. 61).

The verse to be memorized for this week:

Psalm 34:12-14
"What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it."
