These dogs made it out just in time. Please protect more animals like them.

Dear ,

Life or death: Could you imagine having to give up your pet? October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we need your help now. Victims are desperately coming to us every single week to find safety for their innocent pets.

It was traumatic enough for Kim* to leave her home so she could escape her violent husband's abuse. She was completely heartbroken - and uneasy - when law enforcement placed Chloe, Benny and Shadow*, her three loving Labrador retrievers, in the city animal control shelter.

There was nothing she could do about it. Kim was staying temporarily at a local domestic violence shelter, but they didn't have space for three big dogs like hers.

Then Kim got the most devastating call: Chloe, Shadow and Benny had to be out of the animal shelter that Friday, or they would be euthanized. Kim was frantic.

, we can help families like theirs from being separated forever. Please make your gift today >>

Luckily, Kim's domestic violence case manager had heard about RedRover's Safe Escape grants and filled out an application right away. RedRover's Safe Escape grants help pets escape domestic violence through financial assistance for boarding.

By Friday morning, they were out of the shelter and at a local pet boarding facility...all because of caring people like you.

Kim could breathe again. The three big Labs were happy, and most importantly, safe. Without the looming threat of euthanasia at the local animal control, Kim had more time to find secure housing where she could live with Benny, Chloe and Shadow - together.

A family like Benny, Chloe, Shadow and Kim's is waiting for your help right now. Your gift is truly needed >>

It's never okay to abuse a person or a pet. Please help us keep these victims safe so they can become survivors...families and pets, together. If they could, we know Chloe, Benny and Shadow would say thank you.

With gratitude,
Nicole Forsyth
