5 weeks, 735 animals

Earlier this month, our RedRover Responders volunteers traveled to Madison, New Jersey, to help care for adoptable animals evacuated from Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Together with St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center and The Humane Society of the United States, we sheltered and cared for 392 animals - 252 dogs and 140 cats - who were airlifted from Puerto Rico to the emergency shelter in New Jersey, to receive comfort and daily care on their way to finding forever homes.

Hurricane-Maria-300x

This was our third deployment in five weeks, and we want to thank you for your ongoing support. Because of you, we were able to help a total of 735 animals displaced by the string of devastating hurricanes. Thank you for your compassion!

Murphy survived DV

Murphy 200pxOctober is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we're working to ensure that people and pets affected by domestic violence get the assistance they need. When we heard Murphy and Jane's story of a horrific act of abuse, we knew we had to help. Murphy, an 11-month-old boxer, was shot in the face by Jane's abusive ex-husband while she was away. Thankfully, Murphy survived and - thanks to a RedRover Relief grant - was able to get the surgery he needed to heal.
