Give a cold dog something to be thankful for

Sponsor a Doghouse for an 'Outside Dog'
Help Cold Dogs This Winter Winter Doghouse

"Angels for Animals" doghouse sponsors help change the lives of neglected "backyard dogs" like Justice.

Help a Shivering Dog Today!
Dear Blue,

For Justice, "home" was anything but the warmth and comfort that we take for granted.

When PETA caseworkers met this sweet pit bull, her only shelter was a flimsy plastic doghouse with a hole in it that did little to protect her from the frigid wind and bone-chilling winter rain.

Many dogs just like Justice will be facing miserable—and potentially deadly—weather in the coming weeks as the dropping autumn temperatures turn icy. It's critically important that compassionate people do something now before the elements endanger more gentle, neglected dogs.

Will you help us give comfort to a dog in need by becoming a PETA "Angels for Animals" doghouse sponsor right now?

This vital program directly improves the lives of vulnerable "backyard dogs" by delivering sturdy doghouses to those who desperately need protection from the violent storms and freezing temperatures of winter and, next summer, from the scorching heat. Along with their sturdy new houses, we bring these dogs a little comfort by giving them straw bedding to curl up and sleep in, lightweight tie-outs to replace heavy chains, a toy, treats, and even basic medical care, as needed.

While every dog deserves to be treated like a family member and allowed to live indoors, nothing makes a bigger difference to a dog forced to live outside than a sturdy house in which to retreat from extreme weather.

The impact that "Angels for Animals" sponsors have on the lives of dogs like Justice can be seen the moment that PETA's fieldworkers deliver a doghouse. Justice instantly took to her new shelter and bounded about gleefully when she realized that the decrepit plastic box that she'd been seeking shelter in had been replaced by something substantial and comfortable.

By becoming a PETA doghouse sponsor today, you'll be helping us give neglected dogs the shelter that they so desperately need. Since the beginning of the year, our wonderful donors have given us the funds to deliver more than 200 doghouses to vulnerable dogs in deeply impoverished areas in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. That's more than 200 dogs who have received some life-changing relief from bitter winter days and frigid nights, thanks to this program. It's not enough, but for them, it makes a huge difference.

Supporting dogs as an "Angels for Animals" sponsor couldn't be easier. Whatever you can give today will immediately be put to work helping dogs at risk from the elements. We'll be out there all winter long, and the number of dogs we can help is up to our sponsors.

There are so many dogs just like Justice who need our assistance. Please help us do more to improve their lives with your generous sponsorship of a doghouse right now.

Kind regards,

Ingrid E. Newkirk
President

P.S. PETA "Angels for Animals" sponsors have helped thousands of "backyard dogs" find the comfort of a sturdy, warm shelter. Please help us give some measure of hope to more dogs this winter by making a generous sponsorship gift online today.
