Sector Updates

Burnley Pendle & Rossendale CVS have arranged 3 locality launch events to promote the CCG Social Prescribing Funding for 2017 – 2018.
  Burnley – Gannow Community Centre 10:00am on Tuesday 9th May
  Pendle – Nelson Town Hall (Wilson Room) 10:00am on Wednesday 10th May
  Rossendale – Whitewell Bottom Community Centre 10:00am on Thursday 11th May
 The guidance notes and application form will be available on the day or can be downloaded from the website from the 12th May.

What's On

Introduction to Fostering Course
This FREE course is designed to give you a flavour of what its like to be a foster carer and what fostering is all about. It is a very interactive and informative course where you will have the opportunity to speak to a fostering social worker and ask as many questions as you like. All attendees will receive resources and a certificate of attendance.

Now in its second year It’s a ‘poor do’ brings together community and faith groups, stakeholders, and frontline workers to discuss the growing impact of poverty on children, young people and families in the region. There will also be information on current challenges from keynote speakers including Dr Carol Ewing, Vice President at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, workshops and panel discussions.
