New homes for Purbeck - have your say
A consultation is taking place on options for new homes in Purbeck.

As well as questions about the best places to build new homes in the district, there are questions about second homes and affordable homes.

A consultation document and questionnaire are being delivered to every household in Purbeck (as well as homes in neighbouring Crossways) and drop-in sessions will be taking place around the district.

The consultation ends on 12 March 2018.

Superfast Dorset is looking for volunteers to help local people get to grips with computers and take their first steps online.

Digital Champion volunteers run free sessions to pass on basic know-how – everything from switching on a computer and managing email, to using websites and video calling.

If you are passionate about the benefits of being online, have good IT and mentoring skills, bags of patience and want to give something back to your community, please get in touch via the Superfast Dorset website at

New funding available for landscape enhancement

£1.7million has been made available to help enhance the landscape around Wytch Farm oilfield in Purbeck. The fund has been established specifically for projects that will help to enhance the local landscape, wildlife and rights of way around the oilfield.

Applications are invited from individuals, groups and organisations.
