Recovery Month at Back on My Feet

Hello ,

This September, Back on My Feet NYC is celebrating National Recovery Month! We are SO proud of our many members working through recovery every day. It is inspiring to run alongside them, or cheer them on from the sidelines, during races, as well as during their everyday journeys through the path of recovery.

About 1 in 5 people experiencing homelessness are also experiencing addiction according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. While we are not a recovery program, Back on My Feet supports the pillars of recovery through fostering healthy lifestyles, a stable environment, finding purpose, and of course community support. Learn more about how BoMF enhances recovery here.

We believe that this support for our members is essential, and as a part of the Back on My Feet family, I know you do too. The support, stability, and community of Back on My Feet can change lives, and encourage a commitment to recovery.

The BoMF family is what makes this possible. Every success story, is a story of how our community has come together to combat homelessness. Whether through a gift of time or financial support, your help makes all the difference in the world to every one of us.

“The more audacious the goal, the more important it is to see the journey and not just the finish. Being in a recovery program, the journey, not the destination, is everything.”
-Eric (Team City Hall)

Continue the journey with our members and help create a welcoming and successful environment for recovery this National Recovery Month!
In gratitude,

Andrea Enfield
