Our Breakfast was a huge success!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Ace Cash Express Back on My Feet Breakfast! We raised over $200,000 in just one morning, making the 2016 Breakfast our most successful one yet! Over 450 guests joined us at the Omni Dallas Hotel to learn more about our program and to hear inspirational stories by our very own VA alumnus, Jerry and current Dallas LIFE member, Derwin. We're so excited to unveil Meaningful Miles, our new and improved 5K/10K race! Join us to run with and for individuals experiencing homelessness in Dallas-Fort Worth on Saturday, June 25 at Trinity Groves.  Our new Meaningful Miles 5K/10K Race supports Back on My Feet's services to increase self-sufficiency among individuals experiencing homelessness and periods of transition. Congratulations to our Trinity Levee Runners!
Earlier this month, we watched 11 members cross the finish line at the Trinity River Levee Run! Several of our volunteers joined us to run with our members and to cheer them on! Stay tuned for more 5K opportunities with Back on My Feet members and alumni.

Our member of the month is Joe
a dedicated runner with Team VA!
Joe has been a member with our VA team for nearly three months now. Since being in our program, he ran his first 5K, has run over 16 miles with his team and has already moved into the Next Steps portion of our program, making him a senior member with Back on My Feet. Joe has many years of experience as a legal secretary and file clerk. He has also taken a few paralegal courses and recently accepted a full-time position at Allied Barton Securities working as a Security Officer, and we're so proud of him!
