Thankfulness from BoMF Alumnus James

"Back on my Feet has given me everything. It's the most amazing group of people."- James, BoMF Alumnus
Dear Back on My Feet Friends, Supporters and Volunteers,
James mastering Dancers Pose with BoMF
I joined Back on My Feet New York City on Veterans Day last year. After taking a few wrong turns in life, I looked to Back on My Feet to help me plan a better road for myself. Back on My Feet has instilled positivity in me that I haven't seen in years. Having all of my BoMF teammates around to support me and to push me has been an incredibly powerful experience. I am thankful for all of the volunteers who come out in the morning -there is no one else that smiley and excited to see you at 5:30 a.m.
With Back on My Feet's help, I am employed and living in Brooklyn. I was able to use BoMF's financial aid program for my first month's rent and furniture.  Wednesdays are my Back on My Feet days running with the Brooklyn Team as an alumnus.
Through Back on My Feet, I started training for the New York City Marathon and was set to race until injury brought my running to a stop. What's funny is I didn't think I would ever like running. Now that I'm injured, when I see people run on the streets I get jealous because I know how powerful and confident they feel because they're running. I can't wait to get back out there. Back on my Feet has given me everything. It's the most amazing group of people. Thank you, James
At Back on My Feet, We're Thankful for You

Your time and resources pave the way for individuals to gain renewed confidence and rebuild their lives.  Thank you for all that you do.
Happy Thanksgiving, Katy Sherratt, BoMF CEO & The BoMF Team
