Last Jedi's Original Pitch

Rian Johnson revealed what he said in his Last Jedi pitch meeting.  I think he had already gotten the job and they just wanted to know what he may do with the movie.

What he pitched was so vague, they just must have had a lot of confidence in him from the start because, really, his pitch didn't say much of anything:

Mute Netflix Trailer

I'm already looking forward to next month's Altered Carbon cyberpunk show on Netflix.

However, I just became aware of yet another cyberpunk movie coming to Netflix next month as well.  It looks really good!  It's a good time be subscribed to Netflix and be a fan of cyberpunk:

Pacific Rim 2 Trailer

I don't know, but I think I've just broken my "watching only one trailer" rule with Pacific Rim 2.  I'd forgotten I'd already watched a trailer for this movie so I watched this one.  I hope I didn't spoil the movie for myself.  That said, there doesn't seem too much to spoil. There doesn't even seem to be much of a story at all.

But then, I'm not going to watch this movie for the story:

This Week's Drawing

I got hit with the flu bad this week.  I mean BAD.  It took me out and I was bed ridden for days.  Even now that I've returned to work, I'm still weak.

I wanted to get more of this drawing done but this is as far as I got.

Even though I spent a ton of time designing a tower, I ended up not using it in the drawing.  I replace the tower with pterodactyls.  I figured, I may as well show it's a "lost world."

Also, I realized as I drew the tower, that I didn't know anything about it.  It needed a lot of world building and I wanted to know what the point of the tower was.

I now know.  And I know now that it's not going to be The Gray Tower, but something else.  It has a different purpose.

Long story short, here's this week's drawing:

I also expanded it on both ends so I can give the drawing away as a desktop wallpaper to my Patreon patrons once it's done.

How To Draw Different Torso Body Types Using The "Steve Huston Bullet"

I answer a Youtube watcher's question in this week's blog video.

It was specifically about drawing a fat body.
