General Membership meeting to August 1, 2015

Dear Pittsburg Baseball Softball Association Families:

We apologies for any inconvenience this may have cause but we hope to see everyone there.

The time has come for the Pittsburg Basbeall/Softball Association (PBSA) Annual General Membership meet ing. You are receiving this letter because your child(ren) played for PBAS during the 2015 season. Each year PBSA host a  general membership meeting to elect the new volunteer committee members.

The meeting will be held as follows:

The 2015 year Board of Directors has done a fantastic job for our kids and I would like say “Thank You.” They work very hard and spend many hours planning, paperwork and fundraising in order for our kids to have the opportunity to play baseball and softball in Pittsburg. Most people just do not know how much time it takes to run this program and how much it costs to run a program this size. There are several positions which need to be filled each year. I have been involved with PBSA 5 years as a coach and board member.  What has really astonished me is over the last 5 years, the small number of people willing to step up and volunteer to be a general member or to serve on the board of directors. We have over 600 kids playing baseball and softball in PBAS over 1000 parents and grandparents.  With as many parents as we have, we would like to have as many people involved in this league as possible.  We need members who are willing to think about the big picture of PBSA and want what is best for all the kids in our program.

We hope to have a lot more people become involved in our program by attending this meeting. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (925)526-5032 or email me at CoachMLMC@yahoo.com.

Sincerely,

Marshall Collins & Jerry Johnson
