2016 Tryout Information

PBSA will be hosting tryouts on the following dates:

January 9th, January 16th, January 23rd,

****January 9th Tryout has been cancelled due to inclement weather.*****

(We will still have in-person registrations at Belleci Signs and Apparel - 3721 Railroad Ave, Pittsburg, CA 94565 - from 11am to 1pm.)

We will also have in-person registrations at Starbucks on Railroad at 7pm on Thursday 1/7/2016.

We will be taking sign ups during the tryouts; however all players must be signed up at least 30 minutes prior to their Tryout time slot if they wish to tryout. All players ages 7 and above as well as 6 year olds who have played one year of tee ball must attend 50% of the scheduled tryout dates and times. Failure to attend the minimum required tryouts dates may result in a player being ineligible for the draft and from postseaon All - Star tournament play.

***Children ages 3 through 6 are not required to tryout.***

All players (including returners in the Majors, Juniors and Senior division who are not trying out for the high school team) are required to attend 50% of the scheduled tryout times. Players must be signed up by the following dates in order to participate in; be eligible for the regular season draft and post season All Star Tournament team. Players who do not attend the required number of tryouts, will be placed on a waiting list and assigned to a team as space becomes available.

If you have extenuating circumstances which prohibits you from attending a tryout date, please contact me immediately.

During tryouts, players will be evaluated on fielding, throwing/catching, hitting/bunting and base running. This will allow the Board and coaching staff to accurately place players where their skill sets as well as implement a training and development program for the coaching staff and players.
