WAITROSE BANS DISPOSABLE CUPS

We're excited to learn that supermarket giant and leading purveyor of free coffee, Waitrose, is planning to remove all disposable coffee cups from their stores. Starting this autumn, customers will need to bring a reusable cup to get their free coffee. Waitrose estimates that this will save more than 52 million cups a year across the UK, which means much less paper and plastic heading to a landfill.

GLAMORGAN SAUSAGE ROLLS

This week (in what could have been mistaken for a late April Fools Day prank) pasty-makers Ginsters announced that they will be adding vegetarian options to their range, a sign that UK customers are more interested in meat-free meals. If you want to try out veggie alternatives to meaty treats look no further than these Glamorgan sausage rolls. Made with a generous helping of Cheddar cheese these rolls still pack in as much flavour as traditional pork rolls.
